i am trying to put a mechanical water temp gauge on my rb20 and found one spot to put it(behind turbo) but the reducers the gauge came with are too big to fit, do i need a special reducer, or can i put it in place of the stock elec sending unit? wich one is to the gauge and wich one is to the ecu? thanks

ECU sensor is the two wire one with the fatter plug, on the left if you are looking into the motorbay. Gauge sensor is the small, one wire plug on the right. You 'could' replace the gauge sensor, you wont have any problems except a dead gauge in your cluster.
