The motor on my passenger side seatbelt just broke. it does not want to move back or front anylonger. its possition right now is in the back. my question is if there is anyone who knows how to fix them and if they can explain to me how. And i do know that these seatbelt motors were known to by defective in 1991 Models

It was a recall, so check with your local dealer and see if your car qualifies first. Be fore warned: it can be HELL getting the dealer to do free recall work in a timely manner. My buddy made 4 appointments and was sent away all 4 times when he went in to get his repaired. He had to have his lawyer call to get an apointment to stick, lol.

I am not aware of any such defect or recall.

Move the belt to the middle of it's track manually and see if it moves anywhere from there, then report back.

Well... what happens after you move it forward? Will it move anywhere from there on its own when you open or close the door?

I should have my psgr motor in my storage unit (I did the manual seat belt swap). I'll check tomorrow. If not, I can go to the junkyard on Monday and see if they have one. If I get one, hows $20 + shipping sound?

If you are willing to remove your rear seat and the plastic panel that covers the motor you will find a hole that an allen wrench will fit into. I forget what sized allen wrench, at the moment. Anyway....slide the appropriate sized allen wrench into the hole and twist until you have the seatbelt where it is all the way back.

Or just take it to a dealership and find out if they will honor the seatbelt warranty.

Well this is specificaly what happened: One day i noticed the seatbelt was geting stuck in the middle. but i assumed it would just correct its self and so i ignored it. about a week later i noticed that it would not move anymore so i checked it and i tried to move it manualy but it would not move. i tried opening the door and pushing it at the same time, and i have tried pretty much everything but actualy going more indepth with the actual connections.

umm... s15's didnt come with a KA, i think you mean s14. 600 isnt bad for a rolling chassis. i say if you have the time and patients to work on it.... i say go for it, otherwise i'll buy it

I think i do have the time and money. my primary goal is just to make it run.(everyones least expectation when buying a non-working car) once its running then thats when i'll start doing my things to it. after i posted the message i called him up and he raised the price to 850.00 which still isnt much. he "said" the main things it needs is a new rediator and the fender. to me thats about 200 dollars tops. and the regrestration is about 90 bucks. but thats only if thats the problem. otherwise i am going to have to do what i am going to do which is try to turn it on, see the obvious, fix the obvious, change the oil etc. as the days go on i'll keep everyone posted on what happens to both of my s13's/s14(?????) over all besides it being my project car i also plan on giving it to my G/F so she can drive something. and i am not sure but have you ever seen a QUOTE from one of the guys that goes..." its cheaper to fix up your car than to have a girl friend"? well thats pretty much going to be tested and most likely i will fail but its worth a shot. Now just to get things in order, 1st its the engine work then comes the interior/extertior/paint right ? band it looks a lot like yours besides the rims, new paint and all the cosmetics. what i mean is that its red and black at the top. it has a sunroof thats pretty much it. oh and thats its slammed down. I'll Post some pic's of everything inside and out probably tomorrow

will it start? If he overheated it and it doesn't start now he probably blew the head gasket, and maybe warped the head....

ok. so after that is done. here is my question. CAN or CAN I NOT put a pig nose fron end to this thing. i am guessing of just redoing the whole fron end to make up for the fenders. so what i will replace fron this one is the hood, bumper, and the two side fenders. but my thing is can i or not?

The pig nose bumper is a direct bolt on affair.

The frames of the 89-90 is the same as the 91-94.

thank you. while i was working on it yeasterday, my cousin and i discovered that theres more to it than just the radiator. cylinder3 and 4 were not firing. so we tried to take off the plugs to check it out and they were stuck. we only managed to take cylinder 4 off but not 3. so basically we/I bought the frame for 850.00. so our next step is to actually try to take out the spark plug on cyl 3. and we will use mines from my 240 to see how it responds. the funny things is that cyl 1, 2, and 3 were all totally different spark plugs. i guess another problem with them was the miss firing i just cant believe it went through that much torture. well what do you think. if you have any ideas let me know. thank you.

because the places where i go find the stuff is at the local junk yeads. and all they have are 1990 s13 with sohc. or, i can buy the fenders, and just try to fit the bumper back on. that might work. do u know if its easy to do the belts?
