I wanted to know if someone here can help me on a mechanical question. I might be buying a 1992 240SX. The seller is driving it from Ontario for me to see and from the pictures the car looks mint. I just got a text message from him telling me this "having a problem with the car. Once warmed up I can't keep it idling. Even when I am driving and go to shift it sometimes stalls out. Taking it to a shop now. Will let you know what happens.

Now he did mentioned the car has been garage kept the last 10 years and that each year it only drove a little just to keep the car from not moving. Could this have anything to do with it? It worried be a bit, I just want to know if it's something I have to worry about or not thx.

not a serious problem take it off clean it and put it back on but considering its been in the garage and hasent moved much it probably still has the same gas from when it was put there. might want to drain and try fresh stuff

I actually saw another 240sx thats for sale. I saw it today and it only has 65,000km, not miles, kilomiters! and the car drove and felt solid! Truley rare and the Interior is very clean! The body looked clean until I looked under the door , and along the rocker panel is rusting , bubling and the other side same thing, but even saw a small hole. Can this part of the car be fixed, like have metal welded on and then painted or would it be past the point of un Fixable ?? because other then that the car is almost perfect. I took pictures maybe ill repost this and add pics ,,

S13 really there is a sun roof didn't think that could cause it, but its not really the door it's like under the door part of the frame of the car close to where ud jack it up. That's why I was wondering if it could be fixed, its not like its a door or trunk that can be taken off and replaced with a new one. I'll post pics I took in a few hours.

im not sure if the s13 has the drainage tubes like the s14 does but get under it look for a small rectangular hole about 1.5 inch by 2.5 inch thats a drain hole for the sunroof

i had the same problem. tacked in some metal and fiberglass bondo that b. cant even tell. same for my rusted spoiler holes in my trunk lid, another good option is the aluminum body filler.
