Mechanic programs/schools in Nashville?

Hely guys, I wanted to know what the options were as far as schools go in tennesee to be a automotive mechanic. My real goal is to work in a tuner shop, but coruse you gotta learn the basics first.

NADC for one (nashville auto diesel college). they suck. one year program. tennessee tech, i think they suck too. 6 month program. my buddy went through the TN tech program and got a job at a honda dealership almost immediately. got a couple of options there.

i kno a that mtsu offers a motor sports engineering ( i think that is wat its called) but this year they built one of those little fomula 1 type cars with a motorcycle engine in it.

im wanting to open a shop/ store selling good parts and doing fab work and engine swaps. but i do not want to sell junk parts like apc stuff.

6 months seems kinda short, no? I mean if its good its good. Im also thinking about calling around to some local tuner shop and asking them what the best route is. I know colleges offer the mechanical engineer degree but if you go to a school specifically aimed at automovbiles I would think that would be better. I wouldnt mind at all working at a car dealership if the money is right. How much do those kind of people make?
