Three weeks ago I had a wreck in my 07 Versa S. The car in front of me stopped & so did I, but the guy behind me slammed me into the car in front. The car was totaled & I picked up my new Versa today. A hell of a way to get cruise control.

I just wanted to post the pics and to say I was very happy with the safety of the car in a crash. The seams between the fenders and front door stayed the same as before the wreck & I had no problem opening the door. I got a little scratch on my thumb when the air bag deployed, but nothing else.

I was hit from behind and while the damage did not look bad in the back, the floor pan was also going to have to be replaced along with bumper & bumper cover. The estimate was $9700 with the possibility of more once they got into the repairs.

They usually total a car if the repairs are in the 70% to 75% of the cash value of the car. With the salvage value of the car the insurance company comes out pretty good.

Looks similar to the accident I had in V#1, except more severe. Mine wasn't totaled, but then again my hood didn't bend at all (not enough force).

What hit you, how fast, and what was in front of you?

Glad you're safe... but I wouldn't have had any doubts about the V in those circumstances, given that we share a common experience.

And what's your new V, BTW?

I'm rather impressed that the headlights seem to be intact...

wow, the headlights actually do seem to have made it unscathed. might want to hang on to them to sell or save and mod them.

I was hit by a 97 Honda Accord. I'm not sure how fast he was going. I had just stopped from 40 mph.

I hit a Land Rover. Only visible damage to it was busted lights that were part of the bumper and a cracked bumper cover.

My new V is a White 6MT S with power, abs, and cruise.

Insurance company gets everything when they total it.

I did swap back the original air filter and retrieved the K&N I had bought.
