I bought some new wheels and I think need some spacers. They rub of the coilover springs on the front and they are pretty far in from the fender on the rear. My question is: I know they are 17" wheels with 215/45/17 tires on them, but the guy didn't know the offset and I dont know how to find out what offset they are by myself. Is there a way to measure the offset, or is it writen on the wall? I just want to know the offset so that I can get the right sized spacers. Thank you.

And, its typically stamped on the inside of the wheel (where it meets the hub).

Maybe I am being to technical, but I found one minor flaw in the rsracing.com instructions on how to measure offset. The stamped wheel width is mesured from inside lip to inside lip of the wheel. So if the wheel is stamped 16x7 than the actual over all width is more like 8" because of the bead flanges that flars out about 1/2" on both sides of the rim. Not all wheels have a bead flange on the face of the wheel, but most have one on the inside of the wheel.

My point is when you subtract back spacing from the wheels centerline, you must use the wheels over all width not just the stamped width to get a more accurate offset measurment.

Youre absolutely right. When I posted that link, I swore they accounted for the extra width. Thanks for clearing that up
