Does anyone have stock G50, (Front/Rear), strut assemblies laying around that they could measure the length from the top of the "hat" to the center of the lower mounting point?

They, of course, cannot be on a vehicle at the time of measurement.

I have an extra set of struts but the springs were used on my current "daily driver", so I can't use them as a reference.

You mean an uninstalled strut assembly? Front or rear?

I can measure a blue uninstalled strut for you.

Yes.

Both.

I'm looking for the measurement with spring installed, but not on the vehicle.

I mentioned this thread in another, and just as it seemed that someone might have the numbers I need, the thread gets locked.

Rex, thejapino, Dennis, Wes, and everyone else, if you have either one of the measurements that I'm looking for please post them.

If nobody pops in with some numbers by this weekend I'll just pull the struts off my '92, measure them and post the numbers.

Hopefully by this time next week I'll have a solution to Z32 coil-overs with full adjustability.

There's a lot of wet sanding to do before she'll be done. (Somewhere along the lines of 300-400 hours of actual wet sanding)

And, no, definitely not checkerboard.

Just a flat black with a satin finish.

OK, I only had OEM fronts. I got 21 1/8" from top of hat to center of lower mount.

Thank you very much !

I'll compare that to the numbers I got from measuring my Megans , as soon as I get home, and post what the difference is, as well as my measurements.

Using megans? A member named damicci on vipstylecars.com uses megans on his g50 and said that at its highest setting, the coilovers still make the car very low. Look it up!

I know, thats what I'm correcting for.

The measurement you posted above will help me to modify the Megans to regain stock ride height without having to set them at their highest level, and still give me the dampening adjustability as well as the option to lower the ride height if I feel like it.

Once this is finished I'll have to come up with some height adjustable tie rods.

Megan Racing (Street Coil-Overs)Front (Hat-to-Bottom/Center) - 19.75 InchesRear (Hat-to-Bottom/Center) - 15 Inches

My measurements are from the top of the hat to the center of the lower mounting point, not from the top of the strut shaft.

Now, does anyone have (OEM Z32/OEM G50) springs unmounted laying around they could measure as well?

It might already be posted in another thread but I've been so busy prepping the Q for a road trip to Kentucky that I just haven't had the chance to look.

Q45tech has posted frre length several times as well as spring rates. I think it might only be in original FSM.
