I was looking at downpipes for the Sr and all the DP are a 3" design staright all the way through except the Meagan DP. From what I understand, it has a 3" inlet and a 2.75" outlet! Anyone know why that is? and wouldn't a 3" inlet and outlet be better or does the meagan design increase flow or something?

They all taper out after the turbo since the turbo outlet is not 3"...look closely at the top of a Greddy, Blitz (which the megan is a copy of IIRC), or any DP on the market, they all do that.

IIRC pretty much all dp's are 2.75 in 3" out or they say 80mm but the inlet fromt eh housing is a littel smaller

my greddy O2 elbow outlet is 2.75" so it matches perfect to my megan dp.

Turbo XS "hks style" elbow is 2.5 out,

i cant believe people spend $200+ for a blitz

jeff would be happy to... probly run you like $100 and include a flex joint

as a matter of fact the CIP downpipe IS a megan... badge is still tacked on and everything, its just modified with a flex joint welded in. Its only like $15 more than an unmodified megan. really worth it if it relieves any stress at all from the exhaust manifold

Im not that lazy, Ill make one probably this winter, I don think my precision sc5031 woll like dumping into a 2.5 flat paice of flange in the pipe. and I will probably put a peice of flex in it maybe not nesceasry though seeing i have solid motor mounts but couldent hurt. if you dont have them and you have a header you better put in a flex or that bad boy will be a breakin
