Well after I lost to a modified STi a couple weeks back, I had often wondered how I would do against a stock one. Well tonight, I got my wish

I just happened to run across a black STi racing a maroon MKIII turbo. I caught up to them at the next light and we all got ourselves an open lane. Light turns green, we take off, and the STi pulls out to an early 2 car length lead by the end of 1st gear. But I'm pulling him, and by the end of 3rd gear, I was on his rear bumper.

The MKIII caught up to us and wanted to go from a punch. We all dropped down to 50mph, got 3 honks from the MKIII driver and punched it. This time, I pulled out to a car length lead, and never looked back. Had at least 2 on the STi when I cut it off at 80mph for a curve that looked to be a bit too much for my stock suspension to handle.

All in all, I'm very happy with how my car is performing lately

AWD does factor in from a rolling start.. Drive train loss. forgetabout taking one off the line but stock STI's are dogs up top.
