i raced my buddies altima last night with his new turbonetics kit and pulled on him, i think, 3 separate times... the best part about it is, i only had about 800 psi. :) seeing as how he spanked an rs wrx yesterday, thats a pretty good indicator of where im running. wait till next time when my bottle is warm and full. :)

congrats on the kill bro. The wrx RS isnt that fast though (165hp 4wd no turbo) but nothing to sneeze at

if its stock... i havent seen too many stock wrx's out here... i almost ran on a pretty nice rs on the highway the other day, but highway patrol was up a little ways with his lights on, so we took it easy. he went by me and let his bov blow off thinking im a chump or something... oh well, ive gave him a little taste then had to get off on my exit.

if he had a bov it wasnt an RS, the RS's arent turbo, the WRX Impreza is, but not the Impreza RS, the RS has the 2.5 n/a and the WRX has the 2.o turbo

The Impreza 2.5 RS does not wear the WRX badge. The Impreza family currently has the TS, RS, WRX and WRX STi models. The Impreza WRX debuted in MY2002. It had a 2.0 turbo and it evident by the hood scoop. The Impreza 2.5 RS has been around a while and as Rob pointed out, was a naturally aspirated vehicle. It wasnt until MY2004 that the Impreza WRX saw the 2.5 turbo in the STi. You can tell them apart from the WRx by the BBS wheels, big Brembo brakes, the bigger hood scoop and the rally style wing. There would be no need to put a carbon fiber hood on the WRX and STi (except for looks). Both cars come with a pretty light aluminum hood. That is money better spent on a UTEC ECU or something.

I cant wait to see how my WRX runs this spring. I am hoping to make some runs at the March meet. Since IRP wont be open yet.

To be honest, I am very non technical when it comes to NO2. I understand the basic concept.

an e36 im assuming, id take an e36 over a wrx if i could afford maintenence cost, and an e46... NO comparison. But the wrx will undoubtedly be cheaper to maintain and will like bolt ons and upgrades more

wel those are the e46 m3s, with the inline6 producing 333hp, and a 'new car' price of 5ok. Beautiful cars, all im saying is what made you narrow it down to too such different cars as the WRX and M3?

I can't afford the insurance nor the maintance of a M3. If you can swing it, it would be a wonderful car. The WRX is a good car. Plenty of potential and plenty of aftermarket support.

im looking at the stockiness of the two. i love widebody and stocky looking cars. i also love turbo applications as well as nice, powerful n/a applications. the 2 price tags are a little different, but its something i can live with. i also have a bit of loyalty to the subaru flat engine... my first car was a 69 vw bug, so the flat engine is definitely one of my favorites.

well thats good. Just my .o2, if you're planning on modding a bunch, get hte WRX (actually if you can afford an e46, pick up an STi), but if you're going to stay stock-ish, get the e46 and love that straight 6 race bred power

Well,Since you have all the time in the world to correct mistakes of others during Study Hall, you can report for duty and help me run Combined ABI's for each branch code of a certain lender's 500 million dollar Portfolio. Some of us only get 15min during the day to eat lunch and check the internet all while answering our employee's questions.
