yesterday i was at the mall a few hours after they closed and there parking lots are pretty big when no one is there so i decided i pull my e-brake. i got a few good ones, about 90 degree angle then hit the gas. one i almost hit the curb, then i pulled it when leaving and this guy was just staring at me.

How did you let the mall cops catch you??? There's a wide open parking lot. Unless they had all entrances blocked. But at my mall there is like 12 entrances 6 lead to International Speedway(US 92) 6 to different back roads. So usually 3 of us pull in there at once spend get ina line then go one at a time for about 15secs at the same spot then take off. Usually as we are turning back on the road thats when the mall cop Starts to show up. We had the cops Comne after us when we went tray sliding 6 days ina row at the same time. last day was tray sliding an s10 and my 240. The gardners who were cuttign grass stopped us. We all floored it backwards and went out the side entrance(they forgot about it) .

Lol I wasn't tray sliding. MY friend in his accord was. 6days we went tray sliding with his ACCORD and another friend came two days in his civic. But on the 6th day he tray slide not me. I have done that also of putting trays under the front tires on a RWD car. Make sure is a complete empty parking lot. It is fun as hell but no control whatsoever.

I'll have some videos of these events this fall when I go back to school. Going to use the school's camcorder too. Probably have the videos up right after my project is finished. So I can show it off a bit.

Ebraking is prolly worse for your tires than a real drift, and thats still no excuse to pull the stupid ebrake.

This reminds me of last night:

A friend in a FWD Talon does a few donuts in a parking lot, all the peeps Im with are like "Ohhh, you see that drift?"

This dude in an S2000 does some lame attempt at drifting, pretty much spins out 5 times in a row, and everyone is going crazy, like hes Ueo or something.

Then my friend Alan does one clean feint, keeps it sideways for like 5 seconds, pulls it the other way, and circles around in full drift style, and everyone thinks he messed up cuz he didnt spin out.

Lame peeps these days, I swear.

i dont think the ebrake is all that bad.. sometimes it's just good to use it..like when you fall short on the angle and feint wont connect the drifts. yankk the ebrake and just ride it till your ready to enter the turn.... besides. if there is no excuse for pullin the ebrake.. most pro drivers will prolly just get rid of the dead weight.. but i see them use it more than enough to keep it around

ebraking should be used lightly, like for situations that call for it,like oversteer.

Its useful in situations where more angle is needed without more throttle, but intiating a drift with the ebrake is a no-no as far as Im concerned.

Although, Im DEFINATELY not a pro-driver, of course.

yeah it is the same at my mall. its a big open spot and if the cops come they will never catch u if u know ur way around. there are like 100 roads that connect to other roads and more.. and the best part is it is in the middle of the woods ( all the roads) thats where i first learned how to ebrake drift (sorta)..well keep at it and dont get caught cuz i just did a couple of days ago
