Got a line up here in Canada to get a set of cheap coilovers - Less than $700 brand new, delivered to my door. My car is just a cruiser - no racing - no hard driving, but I would like to adjust ride height.

Anyone heard anything - Good or Bad about these MDU coilovers??

Once I install, do I need to get a wheel alignment????

Thanks

Only thing I know about them is what I've read from posts. They are "eBay" coilovers...cheap price and cheap made. Also read that they are really soft in the front and stiff in the back. Plus I saw where you don't have a lot of height adjustment. But if your not going to do any hard driving or drifting and just want a good stance and some adjustment, go for it. Let us know how they work if you get them.

I rocked them on my coupe for ~6 months, and now they are on the vert in the shop.

How did i feel about them?

Loved them. They are by no means soft in the front, and unless you like a bit of a harsher ride, don't get them for a DD. or any coilovers for that matter..

I'm selling them now though, I am going to be upgrading pretty soon. 400 bucks...

Have Endura Techs on my vert right now and they are very well-behaved for daily driving. Proper valving and correct spring rates make a world of difference between quality coilovers and the Chinese crap.

^^ Very believable.

however, how are road conditions out there?

Wisconsins roads are ****, especially around here. So even with stock suspension it can be a rough ride.

I might be interested if I can find a buyer for my KYB AGX and Eibach combo.

Good Lord, I should post some pictures of the roads I've navigated in the last week!

Honestly, I do try to avoid the roughest roads whenever possible. Sometimes it's unavoidable and it doesn't matter what kind of suspension you have - it's going to suck either way. I live out in the country so some of the roads have signs to warn you that the roads are bad.

a wheel alignment is strongly recommended if you drop the car, replace struts or install coilovers.

I am the North American Rep for the factory that produces these products. I can answer any questions you have and help with any technical support. I can also refer you to our authorized dealers for the best pricing. There are different levels of these products and you need to be cautious of any e-bay knock-offs.

Thanks for offering up some insight/advice. But in the future please be cognizant of the age of thread before replying to them. Your "response" brought back a thread from over a year ago ... unfortunately making it some what un-relevant.

We had those for sale for a short time, a few R32 sets have proven to work somehow in show cars but all the S13 suspensions have been crap, the front absorbers have worked well but the rear ones lack damping entirely.

I recommend MDU if your only purpose is to get the car lowered somewhat but don't give a s*** about handling.

PS. we still have a few kit of those if you want one
