Since installing my MBC my idle stays between 1200-1800.Just got my MDM techtom today. at 1500 rpms my base timing is 23 at 1800 it said 32. Sli8ght reving it jumps to 47??? Under boost it drops to high teens and whne at 12psi it's between 12-14. How accurate is this thing.Any flaws that it may have?Says in the instructions may not be accurate to vehicle's sensor.

although total timing at WOT is 28..and idle is around 20ish...our timing maps is not limited to that. if you see at the FULL KA's timing map in excel format or anything like that...you'll see our timing at light load or mid range, the timing goes pretty high to compensate.

under light load your timing can go up to the high 40's. when your lightly gasing, your timing should go up higher then 20. but your timing is rediculously low on boost. at 12 psi your timing should be atleast at 18 or 19.

SO WOT timing is 28degrees stock. so therefore 12psi= 4psi over 8psi therefore retard for 4 psi at .5degree/1psi so therefore at WOT in 12psi of boost I should be at 26degrees. But 24 would be nice and safe correct? Therefore my timing is off almost 12degrees??? So I need to advance my timing 10-14degrees to be right.....

Your ecu is running the knock timing map, it will also be running on the knock fuel map.

Running the knock fuel map means that it will be providing an extra amount of fuel in high rpm high load conditions, so when get the knock issue fixed prepare to retune your device.

How do I fix it??Just by adjusting my distributor correct??Before installing engine I turned the distributor back because previous owner said he advanced it. I never checked timing until last night. So I just need to advance timing Correct and then retune for my a/f ratio???

that is correct, but i'm not sure if you should run 26 total timing. that seems alitte high for me. but if your feeling bold, your car should feel many times faster with 14 degrees more timing.

Was going to do 23degrees/24 whichever I fall on.
