A small group of cars are planning on attending friday night street/grudge racing at the Cecil County drag strip this friday night. I will most certainly be there as will Ish (Jeff) and im sure PalmerWMD (Fred) would not refuse.

Aside from that I do not know of any other nico or nissan people going, but I thought I would just put it out there for any of you who may wish to attend.

Be on the look out for a Z32 with Track wheels, a Daytona Blue 350z Track with Nismo's, and if he does go, Fred's Daytona Blue supercharged 350z, oh and a red Mr-2.

Details like times and places are a little sketchy right now, so I will post updates as they come!

Lets all come up with an exact time to meet and find each other in the parking lot.

ILL BE THERE! Ill try to get my brother and 2 friends to come as well. The one friend has a pretty beat up looking s13 with drag radials and a RB25 that pops his front wheels off the ground a bit at launch.

What time is everybody showing up? I probably cant get there until around 6:30 - 7

Well track opens at 5pm with racing starting at 6 I believe. Ill be there shortly after. The track closes at midnight. Hell maybe we can all stay till close and run out and grab something to eat afterwards. Either way thats probably what im doing cause Tao Bell stays open till 4 and i dont want the people working there to have nothing to do....lol...

here is some info from http://www.cecilcountydragway.com

.8-Jul-05 Fri. Street & Grudge Racing Gates Open 5 pm, racing begins at 6pm.racing will be shutdown by midnight on friday nights.shorts and tank tops not allowed for drivers or pit area members.excessive braking will not be tollerated.all race vehicles and drivers must pass a technical & safety inspection prior to race.once staged, you have accepted the race!

Those are some brief rules yanked from the CCDW website. Check the website for further rules/details that you may be seeking.I'm not positive but pricing is about $10 to attend and $15 to race. I dont think the amount you get to race is quarenteed.

I have never ever been to a drag race there or anywhere else so don't come looking to me for answers on what to bring and what not, there are email adresses on the webpage and I'm sure there are members here who can help.

As far meeting goes, how does 5-6pm sound to everyone? We can try to meet there or meet somewhere just outside of the track so we can all "roll up" together.

If we all decide to meet somewhere first (recommended) I suggest the north east shopping center/plaza located off of Rt40 (you'll see a Wendy's, a Waffle House, and a Food Lion). Located near the shopping center is a Sunoco which has 98 Octane available for such occassions, probably $5/gallon. If you plan to use it I recommend showing up light and only putting in a few gallons.

any other suggestions go ahead and make them.

Hmm how about we all meet at 7 pm then?

Those who are there early will make an effort to either a) park in a gfood spor with room around it or b) lok for the other vehciles

Post your cells if you havent already in the phone thread:zerothread?id=116740

Just a heads up, it's supposed to rain its butt off the next couple of days, in the event of rain friday, the meet will be cancelled, at least on my part. Either way for me I may not be able to go due to some recent schedule conflicts, I will let you all know.

Last time i checked...Wednesday afternoon...the ran was supposed to be scattered showers in the AM but cleared up by about noon. Last time it did this the track opened and i got 15+ runs in cause not alot of people showed up because they didnt think it would be open.

Sidenote: Fred i told my brother about NICO meeting there friday and hes game and we are trying to get my buddy with the RB to come down. My brother said he talked to you sunday. His name was chris and was prolly talking about his built sr that he doesnt have the balls to finish...lol...

Yea Im about 10 minutes from the track and it has been raining since 12ish, so it may dry up.

Is everyone going to meet at the shopping center or just roll up to the track and awkwardly stare at every nissan guy they see?

Unless someone wants to go earlier, I'll be at the shopping center by 630-645, just look for the gunmetal Z32 with 350z track wheels!

i think if your going west on rt 40, you'll have to take a right at the sunoco to take you the right way towards the track, and IIRC, the shopping center is just past the sunoco on rt 40.

On a good note, was talking to an old friend and he said he has a 98 KA24DE with 60k miles on it thats been sitting that he will gimme for $200....MMMMMHHHMMMM im gonna build me a KAT!
