Since I was 12 I have been going to a DIY (Do it Yourself) Auto Center on the Aberdeen Proving Ground located in the Aberdeen Harford County area of MD. Its really easy to get from I-95 and anyone can technically get on base, but only military and government personel are allowed to use the auto center. So for you civi's out there in this area who would like to use it you need to quidence of me or some other governmental to get you in there. I'm really close with the shop management so as long as you are not a douche I may only have to hang out with you a couple of times before they just start letting you use it. If you are a douche I wont waste my time supporting you, sorry for the harshness.

The shop has 6 lift bays (3 chassis and 3 car lifts) and at least a dozen regular flat bays for misc. use. They also have 3 oversized flat body-shop bays and one paint bay. They have tools for almost every need and even have wheel balancers and engine hoists. They will take your oils and radiator fluids as well. All tools and hardware are included in the hourly rental fee which max out at $5/hr for the lift bays. They charge extra for other services like sand blasting and the weights for wheel balancers.

They are open on wednesday thru friday at 12-7pm and Sat/Sun 9am-5pm.In aberdeen you have just about every type of auto parts store available if you need to source last minute parts, there is even a really good nissan dealer down the road about 10mins called R-Nissan (they price match/beat internet prices).

If interested I would prefer to try and gather a group of poeple to go, it could even be a once a month thing if we get enough interest. Post or email your interest and we can try to organize something.

Just to note I was there this saturday (today) and may go there tomorrow to do some detailing on my interior because the weather sucks and I cant get my car into my apartment unless I take it apart. Im not overly motivated to go tomorrow so if someone encourages me I may be willing to hook them up with my company.
