Does anybody know the McMaster bolt size to replace the exhaust manifold studs for the RB20DET?

brining this back fromt he dead but 30mm is too short for a rb20det stud. Are you sure they were 30mm I just ordered some that are 50mm since that is what the studs I pulled out are. heres the part # for McMaster96144A269 Metric Class 12.9 Alloy Socket Head Cap SCREWM10 Thread, 50MM Length, 1.25MM Special Pitch I'll let everyone know how they work out.

Did you order studs or bolts? The part number listed above are for bolts.

I ordered bolts but now thinking about it they may end up being a bit too long. If they end up being too long I'll just cut off head of bolt in my lathe and thread the rest of it and use it as a stud. Stupid me forgot to take into account the nut being on the stud, but 30mm was still long enough?

Yeah long enough for me, but what i did was used some of the studs that was on the block, and then replaced the broken studs with the bolts. So i have a combination of the mcmaster bolts, and the oem studs.

Without some type of mechanical locking mechanism, the bolts will eventually rattle themselves loose. Might be better off just getting new studs and reusing the stock self-locking nuts. Just my $.02
