Ok guys im officially setting the goal of trying to get my car fully primed this Saturday. At the moment the shell is all sanded and all that needs to be prepped is the interior. Ive been working like mad lately to get the interior done and id say im about 45% done on the interior, hoping to have it all done by Wednesday or so...

Anyways the last time I updated I took the windows out but still needed to clean them up. All I used was a scraper and a sanding disk and I was perty much all done withing a few hours...

Thats what its about right there. All I keep thinking to myself while I read and follow your build is, "I wish I had a garage."

Your build is looking awesome. Keep up the bad a** work.

Haha, a garage is a huge help! Only problem is my mom's got an Restored 66 Mustang that's got to be babied, so it makes my garage just that must smaller.

In my next update ill do a small how-to for ya man, I just fixed a minor dent on my roof, that would have been perfect for a lil how to... Body work isnt that bad. It just takes hours to make it right...

*NEXT UPDATE*

I finially have the interior completly sanded but the roof! So ill post up all the pics of that. I also worked more on the battery hole, working the RageGold more smooth and laid some down on the backside. She's looking good! Ill post up those pics tonight.

AWESOME build, I wish I had the time to do something like this... amazing attention to detail, keep it up!

I liked the comment about racing RCs, I worked at a hobby shop in HS and used to race a lot, so I know the amount of time and money that sucks up... at least on the plus side it teaches you a lot about real cars... I am still surprised how much has carried over.

Keep up the good work, can't wait for an update!

Thanks man, mean alot.

As for paint, Ive almost decided what I want to go with and its some sort of gunmetal color. Much like the Honda element grey-metal color. Its so sex... but i'm still a good ways from deciding. One minute I want a white, then a red color.

Awesome man, if I could I would work at a Hobby Shop but there's non around my area... what is more fun? Yeah I run oval pan cars in Easely, SC and ive somehow managed to win the ROAR Nationals two years in a row now... and it just sucked up my life to run on a national level, so its just time to enjoy some down time and build a 40!

Some pics from the 08 Nats...

280ft run line of pure fun!

The man dont play when it comes to tire placement, there's an art to it!

Pops looking proud! Back-2-Back

Goodtimes, goodtimes...

So You bought forged pistons but kept stock rods? Arent rods the first to fail on these engines as far as internals, if it were me and i were keeping one or the other stock it woulda been the pistons, not the rods. Either way good luck with the build, looks like your taking your time and doing good clean work.

Finally, most of the shell's body work is done. Ive fixed all the small places, and blocked as much as I could with the door's off. All the jams, and nooks have been sanded and are ready for some primer. (Needs to be washed still...)

Here's how she's looking at the moment. I sanded the car with mostly 180 and 240.

So my main goal of the day was to get a layer of Rage down on the underside of my battery tray spot. So here's a few pictures of how it looks before, and ill update it by the end of the week with the finished look.

Looks horrible for now...

Here's how my interiors looking...

Its been hit before, but who ever fixed it does amazing work unless it never was that bad in the first place.

More updates soon...
