Ok, i still dont have an s13 but im trying to work a budget out for it when i get the car. I'm looking to swap an rb26dett into it. Last night i saw McKinney mounts and driveshaft for upwards of $1,000. Would it even be logical for me to try to fab up custom mounts and save some money, or should i just go all out and buy the whole kit. I do have access to a decent welder (tig and mig) and i've laid some decent beads before. I know Mckinneys mounts are hand made and are great peices, but i also love a challenge. So if anyone could tell me what all i would need to do the mounts myself, or if i should hand over the money to McKinneys for theres, i would greatly appriciate it.

i have to agree with that. You will have plenty of other things that you get to make for yourself or modify. The way the drivertrain mounts to the car is one of those parts you want to have trust in.

Hey thanks for that point nismo/mmatl. Sometimes i try to get myself in over my head, but believe me this car WILL be done right...no matter time or money.

And yes i will fab up some ghetto mounts, ship them to a sweat shop in Korea, market them, sell them to you for 93 times labor and parts costs, become rich off of everyones swaps creating a monopoly of engine mounts, (burninating companies one part at a time) ,then make fun of silly the asain kids who gave their lives to my fortune goodwill....HAHAHA

But seriously thank you all for the info!
