Agreed. Maaaaad skills, but not my cuppa tea, y'know? Props to the guy for having so much patience to do that kind of work! Kinda like that Chinese painter who emigrated to the US in the 60s (I think) who does all of his paintings of New York City complete with fireworks and festivities and such with a "custom" brush that has only one tiny bristle on it...yowza.mcheddadi wrote:LOl I saw his work some years ago, it's crazy good and impressive, but I don't like hyper-realism.
CAAAAAAAAAAAANON!!!!!!!!...not that I have anything against Nikon per se...especially the new ones.I love shooting fashion and landscapes. Lately though, I've been doing a lot of commercial work for a local high-end magazine (which gets booooooring after a while). I'm also getting into the wedding photography biz, but I have a lot more edge to my style than 98% of the other wedding photogs out there, so that tends to draw in more people.I've never shot sports before, but I have done a bit of photojournalism work (which I can see being relatively similar to sports shooting)...and like you, I'm getting into cars more and more.Unfortunately, I haven't updated my website in MONTHS due to the fact that...well...I'm just too damn lazy! Do you have an online gallery of your stuff? I'd love to check it out!GryStrm wrote:hey esp....ur a shooter?...where bouts?...whats ur weapon of choice?...canon nikon?im a canon shooter myself...mostly sports....but im gettin into autos! HA
LOL! Thanks mate!I know, I know...I'm planning on spending a week out in Kannanaskis (<-- hOW ThE HeLL dO yoU SPell ThAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! *yeesh*) at the end of July so that should provide some decent inspiration. I'd like to head up to Edmonton though and take pics down in that valley thing you guys have got up there (I think the Whitemud crosses it at some point...could be wrong though...). Both Edmonton and Calgary are pretty damn fugly as cities go, but at least you guys have that awesome valley! Here in Calgary we've got...ummm...sound barriers...dead lawns...probably the worst university in Canada...Canadian Coupe wrote:ESP, Nice shots.
You need to get out to Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise and Jasper and take some of our gorgeous National Parks though.
