hey i hear people using manual boost controllers more than electrionic ones, why?i notice the difference in price but what are the other reasons and which do you guys prefer.

manuals are cheaper, thats usually the only reason.

The man's right. Only because they're cheaper. You can control and external wastegate with a spring and a doohikey or drop half a thousand on an electronic gizmo that uses vacuum to regulate the back pressure on the BOV and hold it closed/ allow it to open freely.

Not trying to sound old-fashioned here, I love gizmos. If I still had a boosted car, it'd be hard to keep me away from a boost controller. But when I was young, manual was all I could afford.

I dunno, an EBC seems kinda like bling to me, like a turbo timer is. MBC is way cheaper and just as reliable, and how often would you really adjust the boost anyway?
