Hey guys, I just had a few quesitons that need answering. First of all, the mods on my 91 hatch are as fallows: sr20det redtop, Greddy FMIC, Blitz dual BOV, Greddy intake, z32 MAF, megan short shifter, t28bb turbo, blitz single to twin plate conversion, megan 3 inch turbo back exhaust, S-AFCll

I am sure that I am missing a few things, but what I was wondering with this setup, How much would be safe boost? Also, I have a mbc that I want to install, but that is my next question, with the install, do I install it on the hose coming off of the acculator going to the BOV? And if so, Do I just cut it and put the MBC in place? I know that these are kinda n00b questions, I tried searching and got a bunch of stuff that didnt help. Any help on this would be great guys!!

Thanks alot!

The MBC should be directly before the wastegate. The way that a MBC works is by pinching the line, or bleeding the line, that goes to the wastegate. So your turbo is actually making (lets say) 15psi but the wastegate only see 8 psi (because the MBC has bled 7psi).

Can't really help about safe boost. Sorry boss.

Thank you for your response. I know how the MBC functions, I am thinking its the hose from the acculator to the BOV, I know I need a T connection, I was thinking around 12psi. Is that alright for stock injectors? Remember though, Im not running t25, its the t28 ball bearing

You can tee off of the BOV signal line, but i would see if you have any other nipples on the intake manifold that might not be getting used.

If the compressor on the turbo has a little vacuum nipple you can use that for wastegate signal.

If you can afford an electronic boost controller get one! It keeps the wastegate from opening partially before you reach full boost, i wouldnt buy a mbc i would just wait until i could afford the electronic one.

Yeah your wastegate vaccum line, should be comming from your intake manifold, and shouldnt be Tee'd into, its just not a good practice. If I were you I would hold off on the MBC until you get an upgrade for that fuel system...stock injectors on a T28, I wouldnt reccomend upping your boost much past the waste gate set boost, which is 8psi but youll probably get some creep so expect 8-10psi.

I am getting injectors shortly, I already have walbro 255 and sacfll so yeah, I cant wait to get the injectors in. I'm not wanting to buy a MBC I have it from my last car. So I was just going to use that one for a while. Money isnt an issue, its just, why spend it if you dont need to type thing. But thank you guys for your input
