I have searched but didnt really see anything on the topic. I was searching on Enjuku and saw the DNA manual boost controller they have for sale. The description says you can mount it in the cabin or engine bay. Would there be any side effects to having the long vacuum lines to run the controller into the car? I know they sell MBCs that can be switched over between two different boost setting with a switch, but I was just wondering how it would work out with just an ordinary MBC in the cabin. Thanks!

Working out of the cabin would affect the boost perfomance as you mentioned. If you want to be able to change the boost at the flick of a switch, get the electronic controllers. I would leave a manual in the engine bay to reduce the vac lines.

in cabin manual boost controllers, in my experience, are a waste of time due to the boost spikes/latency.

if you want on-the-fly adjustment, get an EBC.

Like everyone else said you may not get the results you want. I do have a friend with a turbgo honda running one with 0 problems. He went to the local store and bought a campbell hausfeld air compressor controller thing for $20 and runs it in cabin without a problem

Also, I believe TurboXS has a MBC that has 2 modes, like 2 MBCs in one attached, and you set two different boost levels, and a wire runs to the engine bay with a switch, so you flip the switch in the cabin and it changes between MBCs in the engine bay. Those are much cheaper than a full blown EBC.

um... there are no vaccuum lines in the cabin... its a screw type thing that adjusts the bc itself... IMO they are great... i had my t28 boosting 17lbs... no boost spike, or creep

Aren't you going to be hearing the hissing from the bleeder hole MBC's have? (at least the Joe P. MBC has one) That would be kinda annoying
