Do mazworx make a vh41 to vg or rb adapter plate? And does anyone know if they will ship to NZ?

Cheers

If they won't ship to NZ, try to find a NICO member who will ship it to you.

If you can't find anyone, I can ship it to you.

As far as VH41DE block-to-bell housing patterns I can't help you.

(Mostly because its 2 am here and I don't remember at the moment if the patterns are different.)

Cheers dude, yeah I can imagine the 2am thing doesnt really help with recalling information. I may take you up on that offer, i guess i could always use a vg box adapter and just switch a vg bellhousing onto my rb box.

Cheers

The biggest issue that you might run into with the Mazworx adapter is I can't imagine it makes sense to send your bellhousing to them for machining. Mazworx has been GREAT to me and I was hesitant to use their adapter at first, but after having it in hand it is a very very nice piece.

If you could get the machine work done locally and just purchase the plate from them it might make more sense. The machine work shouldn't be difficult for any shop that has machines with those capabilities. Two new holes will have to be drilled in the bellhousing too since two dowels are re-located with the adapter.

If I can help out at all, I've got a spare VG bellhousing that I sent in and got machined but it won't work since it doesn't have the side mounted starter like the Z32s. It's basically trash now, but would be good for measurements or if you want to take a look at what needs to be done to the bellhousing.

The VH41DE block has the starter motor mounted on the opposite side to the US VH45DE.

I.e. VH41 = our passenger side, VH45 = USA passenger side. I think this is mainly to do with steering column clearance.

Nonetheless, this means the adaptor plate design is inverted (and I'm not sure if it's an exact mirror image either), and wouldn't simply bolt straight up to the VH41DE.

The VH41 and 45 are different in a number of ways. A handful of the bolts do line up. It is where the starter motors switch sides that the pattern changes. The other bummer is the dowels are not the same.Of the ten bolts in each bell-housing seven line up. Four in the top half and three in the lower half.

If you could drop me your email I can send you some shots of two side by side and on top of each other.

For our VH41 to RB box adaptor we had to play with so many different ideas, I got sick of looking at bell-housing. The upside is I have a lot of photos. We compared 45 to 41 to AWD 41 all in relation to the RB box. It's a lot easier when you have them all sitting next to each other.

The biggest thing that got me is how serious the bolting arrangement is on the VHs compared to the RBs 25/26!The adaptor plate we make took a lot of R&D but it looks pretty good now, so it can be done! We've got a couple out there now.Ours is designed for use with the AWD 41 and mates it to the RB AWD box but the patterns on both ends are the same as the RWD variants. So if I can be of any help with your set up,(measurements photos etc) let me know!

Cheers

hi gianavel

i jsut sent you an email regarding your adaptor plate. I am keen to use the rb gearbox as well and any help you could provide would be much appreciated!

are you able to manufacture more of your adaptor plates which would fit a vh41de rwd to a rb rwd gearbox?

When you use the Mazworx adapter, does it not require a flywheel spacer anymore? that is the one thing I did not like about the dixon plate: you need a pretty thick flywheel spacer to take up the extra distance added by the bellhousing adapter plate.

No.

Thats why they need to mill down your bellhousing.
