I REALLY don't like Ford, but if it wasn't for Ford, Mazda would no longer be around. We wouldn't be complaining about an overweight Miata, because there wouldn't be a Miata. The only things Ford has done for Mazda are good. and keeping Mazda around has enlarged the FoMoCo parts bin so that we don't all have to look at fifteen variations of the Taurus driving around. Ford/Mazda is one of the most mutually beneficial and important auto company ownerships today. Kind of like the Diamond Star thing that just sort of fizzled out recently, only Dodge doesn't own all of Mitsu.

Hmm, third-gen Miata looks awesome so far. Hope this means the second-gen will become more affordable. Damn Miatas and their annoying high resale.

and you drive a swapped Nissan. interesting.
Yup. Nissans are pretty basic. Cheap to buy, cheap to build, easy to work on (My FC cost me $4300 where my S13 was $2000. My CA cost less than my Racing Beat race spec exhaust for my FC did) They take very little technical or specialty knowledge to have fun with (but yes: to build a big power monster I understand that a very high level of knowledge and ability is needed, but that goes gor any car). Mazdas are generally more expensive in their market range (used) and the rotary is a fickle lady. When I have my own garage and hopefully a $Billion a year salary, I want a tuned Mazdaspeed6 as the DD, tuned NA w/ a BP8T for track days, a FC with a tuned 13BT for canyon carving, and an FD with a PP N/A 20B for scaring small children and old people.
