mazda 3 vs a/c ?

will an a/c 2.5 with cvt and a cat back beat a stock mazda 3 5-door with a 5 speed in the quarter mile,

a/c 175 hp 180 tq 3000 lbs

mazda 160 hp 150 tq 2850 lbs

i think that it would be close but this guy keeps on bugging me and before i go i want to know what the outcome would be, can you give me a hand.

the 2.5 nissan has more tq. so he may or may not be able to beat you off the line having a stick with a more controlled launch, but even if he does jump ahead from off the dig, you'll have plenty of time to catch up and win by a length, maybe two.

the only disadvantage you have is that his is 150 pounds lighter..... i say take out the spare tire and car jack (probably about 25-35 pounds) and then beat him lol

I've had a mazda 3 sedan with 5spd and 2.3L engine before the altima and I have to say I think the a/c would win.

Have a 2.5 cvt and the wife just bought a 5 door 2008 mid year mazda3 stick. It is a beautiful hatchback, but I beat her every time ( Doesn't that sound chauvinistic). Believe me, you're good to go.

even after the race you still win, the other driver goes home in a mazda 3 and that just sucks, you go home in an altima coupe and thats just sexy
