And additionally, fiscally it made sense to re-badge a car already produced in Japan and sell it in North America without a design change, if your aim is create profit and not the unnecessary spending it would take to do the confirmation testing on the new design. Look at the make over the Quest got a couple years ago, they spent a millions to change the interior and came up with nearly nothing in regard of profitability. Also before everyone gets nit picky, yes I know the Versa is manufactured in Mexico, but the original design and production is Japanese. Feloniousmonk, I appreciate you.
