At least somebody knows Infiniti has a legacy flagship sedan. Would someone please tell Mr. Ghosn?

From: http://home.businesswire.com/p...ng=en

"The Infiniti product line expansion is just as impressive, though from the very earliest days there were definite indications of the great product design and technology leadership to come. Infiniti launched in late 1989 with an ahead-of-its-time engineering masterpiece called the Q45. With the Q45, Infiniti gave the automotive world notice that its product philosophy was based on originality, performance, quality and an enthusiasm for driving.

The first generation Q45 was lauded for innovations ranging from its advanced 4.5-liter DOHC V8 engine, which pumped out 278 horsepower to a suspension design featuring the choice of an available system that "steered" the rear wheels into a corner or the world's first available production fully active suspension design."

Back to the drawing board for the next Q -- if there is one.

I've held Nissan close to my heart since I was just out of high school. At the time, my neighbor had a 260Z in the garage, and he was bound & determined to NOT let it be 'the one that got away'.

My stepmom let me 'permanently borrow' her copper 81 280ZX around the same time. That's when it started.

I remember, even as a pup, thinking "This car has a soul."

A very very good friend in Orlando whose 99 Honda Si we built, featured in HCI mag, circa mid '02 (288fwhp/190tq) is in love with that brand, too.

The feeling of knowing something, yet unable to reach the great unwashed is a curse.

If only I could get him to drive an M45, his wife said it looked like a hooptie.

He's going to buy a damned ole' 05 TL, I know it.

Baaaaa, baaaaaa,...........

Make room in the trunk of that TL for two or three spare transmissions, would you? You're gonna need them.

Enjoy your incorrect wheel drive, numbnuts.

Hope I didn't create too much of a diversion, Brian.

Here's the problem with a new Q. If the M45 is in the mid $50s, how much is a new Q going to be? $65k. You can't even get me to spend $55k on and M, and I love that car. How about someone that's not an Infiniti fan? They'll take thier $60k plus to buy a Bimmer or an MB.

Unfortunately this is going to be the case untill infiniti builds a KICKASS car and then people will spend their money on Infinit. I dont see it happening anytime soon

Hopefully the new M will bring new avenues as just stated

Mid $50s with some nice options. You know you can build, view and price your "2006 M Concept" on the Infiniti website? Take your choice, V6 or V8, with AWD option on the V6. I'm wondering if they're having a hard time developing/fitting an AWD transmission for the V8.

No room for both the V8 and the AWD system in the M''s engine bay.
