Ok i have a problem, i live in a state where you have to run al your emission equipment, no if's or but's. Well the whole egr thing has been hitting me in the face the whole time and i have been thinking of many different solutions.

i could extend a pipe off the downpipe to the egr tube--but would that be stable enough from cracking or breaking off during heavy driving.

then i thought about aircraft tubing (silicon w/ braided metal surrounding it), make it a flexible hose from the egr tube to the downpipe or what not--would this work??

how do they go about checking for emissions components, just a visual?

you could always just run the egr into the downpipe like you mentioned. just make sure its before the flex section in your downpipe. the motor/mani/turbo/upper dp should all move as one.
