Well, it's a Grand Am. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, but I suppose it's worth $1600 if it's in good shape.

My mother owned a mid-90's Grand Am...the damn thing practically fell apart around 10 years old. Her 10 year old car compared to my 10 year old Nissan was like night and day, and she didn't drive it hard.

Of course, that's just anecdotal evidence.

I don't really like 'em, but if you've owned one and like it, it sounds like a good price.

my grandfather has had a grand am from as long as I can remember and it still can haul, (I won't find out how much it really hauls till I get behind the wheel) it still gets up to 5000+ rpms with no problems

being fidgety helps keep you slim! lol

KKB is 2400 on it and I will be paying 2200 all together, 1600 for the car and 600 for shipping. All in all I can resell it in a couple of months and get me another 240.

I had a grand am it was a 94 but it was slow had a 2.3l SOHC 3 speed auto, and a 4 door. but it was fun to floor it and the transmission downshifted loud and made it sound fast. lol

Lol...my fiance's Ford Escort is like that. When that thunderous 1.9 liter inline 4 unleashes all of it's 88 hp fury...wow. Actually, that's what most people call "thrashy". That ****ing Escort sounds like it's gonna die when she stomps on it...which you've got to do to get it up a hill.

Anyway, I guess if the Grand Am is somewhat of a turd, at least it's a cheap one. Hopefully it's in decent condition when you actually get to see it. I'd be a little nervous buying the car and shipping it without seeing it in person, but it does seem like a good price. It's below KBB and Edmunds.

Personally thats not a bad deal for a non-240. I see it this way, if it gets you to where you need to be and can help you get back and forth to work to make money to get another 240, its worth a shot. Like you said, you could always turn right around and sell it to get you a 240. I mean its a nice car. Sorry to hear about your 240, Mark told me what happen. Watch out for a white buick (around here in SC) with old lady driving.

I looked at one for $1200 back when I was 15 because insurance wasn't going to be too bad on it and it was good car on gas. If my mother had it her way she would have gotten the car for herself and give me her truck she had, but we never got the chance to get it. Plus the guy was going to let us have it for $800.
