My sr swap just came in, the shop that I’m having do my swap says that my engine my have been modified in japan, already because it has some kind of Japanese performance sticker on it. I haven’t seen the actual engine yet but that’s what they tell me. My engine came from cartune motorsports. The guy also told me that it came with an extra intake manifold. Any of you got anything like this, they also said the clutch was fried. I am hoping the engine is not busted. What do you guys think.

I certainly hope that you have better luck with your stickered motor than I had with mine. My S13 redtop had some HKS stickers on the valve cover. It also had excessive play in the crank, nearly worn through crank bearings, and oil that seems like it wasn't ever changed.

All the stickers mean is that the guy who owned the motor before you PROBABLY had a buncha bolt on parts, and drove the motor into the ground before crashing the car. On the bright side of things, the SR20DET is a great motor and with a little bit of freshening up... should be more than able to take whatever abuse you plan on putting it through.
