i wish i would have thought about hitting up mmx sooner, but the part came in this morning. they are going to paint it all up today and then i should have it back either tomorrow or early sat. im excited to get her back. i have this gutless mazda 626 from the glory days of the 80's right now, i like to call it the gutless wonder. 85hp of pure rage and fury, i tell ya. haha

they didnt want to put aftermarket parts on my car for some reason. my insurances adjuster was a bit of a stickler. so i was wondering, do i need to take my car by the dealer for an inspection after the body shop completes the work? does having a third party shop fixing my car mess with my warranty?

but i guess i broke some mounts in the engine compartment. my radiator mounts cracked and i guess a few hoses too. so they did end up having to do some work under the hood.

the key is to know your surroundings and only do a quick race or pass some cars or something like that. If you're doing 100 MPH on the hwy for several miles, you have a higher chance of getting caught then just doing it for a short time. plus cops usually target certain areas, just drive normal in those areas. cops in my area dont really care about speed. you can do 45 in a 60 right by a cop and nothing will happen (usually). but dont make a complete stop at a stop sign and cops will be all over you lol

and to mmx... you live in California, how do you even have a licence??? after like 3 or 4 tickets don't you lose your license? happen to my brother and a couple friends... they would still drive but with no license lol

I concur with this assessment. I guess my constant speeding stopped during the 3 ticket span I had in the year 2000. It really sobbered me up, lol. That and the key is to speed intelligently, just as Hussain said. Do it in spurts or short bursts unless you know the area real well or if you've driven by it a few times and no there's no cops there. Like I'll go out and punch it just for fun through certain areas after I've scoped them out.

Two words (actually three) that never belong in the same sentence "Glory days" and "80's". Despite what your parents probably told you the 80's sucked in every aspect; trust me I was there for every second of it, and unfortunately I'll never get those ten years back.
