im in the process of doin multiple pojects on my car at the same time.(suspension, lsd, new turbo blah, blah...) I really needed a new clutch and after searching the forum to find that Specis my only other option besides stock, i went with a $50 used CA OEM clutch....This was not a clutch kit so it didn't come with the release bearing nor did it come with the install spline tool...I tried to order one for a pulsar and the guy at the parts store told me no one sells them...so my question is what other install tool can i use?

I got a centerforce dual friction clutch for a KA and I like it. I got it off ebay for like $230-240.

I didn't have a tool either. We were having slight problems getting it to line up so we slightly tightened the bolts down just to hold the clutch slipped the transmission on it to line it up, pulled the transmission off then tightened the bolts down. This of course was easy considering we didn't have either one installed in the car.

Plus they sell universal clutch tool kits. The military car care center had one they let us use for another project. This might have made the CA job a lot easier if we knew this before hand. Here is a tool kit I found but this will give you an idea.

A tool is the best way to do it, but if you can line it up enough by your eye then go for it

I have one left over from my clutch kit if you want it...

Dowel with tape is probably your best bet.

You know they cost $1 at your local auto parts store, right? Just ask for a Nissan clutch alignment tool.

nissan only uses 2 different spline patterns on thier clutch disks, just goto any local auto store and get one for any rwd nissan. some of the fwd applications use a different spline pattern.

I just use a deep well socket to line things up, and let the transmission guide it on.

Uh... shipping? Seriously, they're not worth anything. If you want it email me your add and paypal me the shipping expense and it's yours.
