Since many of you question many things that i have done to my turbo KA setup, i figured i could post some things at times if you think it would be helpful to you or if you are just wondering on what i did or had/wanted to do to make it right. But again, most of these things are ideas and theories based on my own personal experiences. So please take them that way. Anyway, on to the helpful thought:
If some of you are going to go as far as replacing the pistons and/or pulling the motor down. Its not a bad idea to go ahead and replace the oil squirters. They are very fragile and brake easily. Not to mention, after some age, they can become claugged causing more heat damage to the bottom end.
**I used the vg30dett oil squirters as they are slightly larger in size and can produce more oil cooling under the pistons than the KA oil squirters can. Less heat is better on turboed motors (on any motor actually, but more importantly on turboed motors).
