i think i can make it work, with a twin scroll t4 i might be able to get a 4 inch down pipe out the back if i cut a slot in the firewall for it, your thoughts on turbo size would be apreciated modest 450 whp goal.

anyone want to but headers lol

Why not remote mount set-up? I'm doing for my ka-t. got a ne wfuel setup race cell and msd pump for $200 and then rmeove factory gas tank and you got that space for turbo. Scavenge oil pump I think was $260 and then just get osme lines made and you could probably just run a small pipe back up front.

I know you use your car for drift and drag, so what kind of power band are you looking for? It's good to see you are keeping the VH.

yeah remote mount would be ideal with the amount of room you have in the engine bay. with a high compression, high displacement v8, you should be able to spool a big turbo with minimal lag despite the increased piping etc.

I have an S13 that I'm putting a VH into... I don't think you need a 4" downpipe for 450whp.

I'm considering two t28's with 2" downpipe or one larger T4 with a 3" downpipe max, because the clearance just isn't there for anything larger unless you really start hacking things up.

For the downpipe/exhaust I would go at least equal to if not slightly larger than the turbine housing output... you'd be surprised just how much more power you can get by adding .5" to a pipe diameter.

If the pipe is too small you'll have too much back pressure after the turbo naturally decreasing power but also slowing spool. Larger exhaust can allow the turbo spool faster, which means much more low/mid range power and upper range power.

What you don't want to go too big on is the manifolds pre-turbo. You can go too large on those making spool too slow. Generally a turbo manifold will be smaller than an NA's making comparable power or less while the exhaust after the turbo will be larger than an NA making comparable power or less.
