So I currently drive a Nissan Frontier with many mods. So really like the nissan brand. Anyways, on my way home yesterday I saw someone selling a 1990 300zx. I think it is the GS version. It has 21,000 miles on it and in perfect condition. I talked with the guy a little bit and he said it was always garaged all its life. Now he offered it to me for $2,000.00. Now my idea is to put classic tags on it and keep it original. My question is... Is it worth it? Is this something to be a classic later in time. Or just drive it and enjoy??? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. hopefull z ownwer

Did you say $2000 for a Z32 with 21,000 miles? That sounds too good to be true in my opinion! What is the GS edition, I have never heard of that! Now as far as a collector perspective I imagine any sports car with unbelievably low miles will eventually be collectable but I dont think its worth not enjoying it. Cars are meant to be driven, what's the point of the car if you cant have fun with it?

Wow, sounds like there's some mistake. Be sure it's a Z32 and not a mis-named Z31, and if everything checks out I'd be all over that thing.

"GS" Version, and 21k miles for $2k...all of that sounds really fishy. I think you or the seller may not be clear on some of the details.

Well bad news someone talked with the guy and now he says he saw some on the DuPont registry. and now wants $18,000. I told him you have to be kidding. maybe if it was a twin turbo. I told him when he's tired of trying to sell the car give me a call and we could possibly work out a deal. Thanks for everyone's input. Maybe next time someone says that to me I'll use the buy NOW option.

I think that the seller just missed a "0" in the price, lots of dreamers out there that think their low-mileage Z32 is a gold mine waiting to happen already when they have 20 years or so left before the car really becomes a possible profit from that $30K+ original price.
I doubt there was ever any chance you get that car for anywhere near that price, "buy now" or otherwise.
