maybe a stupid question (MAF and misfire)

ok I've got an insanely bad misfire when trying to drive when the engines not up to operating temp, and a very slight misfire when I try to accelerate quickly once its warme up, gets worse the harder you push the gas, heres the situation with the engine...

theres no wastegate actuator at all, the flap just .. flaps around so that the turbo shouldnt boost (just temporary measure until I get my fuel system ready for it)

my MAF sensor is mounted right off the turbo, I know this is a no-no but I had to do it temporarily, going to try to make the intake pipe tomarow. Would this be the cause of my problem? I know its supposed to be more than 12 inches it's about 2 inches right now. Am I on the right track or is there something else I should check out?
