maybe a stupid ignition upgrade question!

ok i was wondering if u can run like an msd 6al box or similar ignition box setup on the rb26 motor. i though u can only use thoses boxes with a distributor. but any info on this would be great. if i can use it is there any other things i need to get to make it work since the rb motor uses a cas not a distributor. thanks.

An MSD 6 Series Ignition Control will operate on any negative ground, 12 volt electrical system with a distributor.
