Maybe a noob question, but, where's the RACING forum?

A General Discussion forum for cars and other topics, and a great place to introduce yourself if you are new to NICO!

I see a DRIFT forum... but, where's the racing forum? if there isn't one, why not? Why is there a DRIFT forum and no racing one? not that there's anything wrong with drifting... it's a fun motorsport...

isnt drifting a form of racing? Especially when you drive a RWD car? But you dont, do you.

I think you get my "drift" here.

drifting isn't racing... that's like saying ice skating is racing.

drifting is a motorsport, but, not "Racing". racing consists of timed events or positions... drifting is about execution of car control or slides. drifting has judges who determines who wins. racing has judges to determine who is right/wrong when there's an infraction.

and i have thought about drifting both of the FWD cars... i think it'd be fun

What form of racing do you wish to discuss?

anything... from Autocrossing, to HPDE, to Professional Road Racing. There has to be a few guys who run in the SE-R cup... what about the Z guys, I know there were a few who did OTC.

what about Improved Touring nissan racers?

Basically, an all encompassing forum for racing, racing applications/theories, hints/tips/tricks...for nissans.

I've always had an urge to race my maxima, due to it's inexistance in club racing/road racing...

Not a bad idea, we'll work on it.

Well, even if he does have Honda in his name, he does make a good point.

AZ, if you did decide to make a race forum, I say it must be a strict, real deal racing section. Try to keep it from becoming a street racing kill section. That is what this forum is for:D

bwhahahhha that's an awesome team name....

we've been clamoring for a racing forum for a while now, perhaps we should have a pure motorsports forum or section rather, with sub forums dedicated to different events such as drag, road, off road, drifting, bikes, and of course the forum I've been personally waiting for, big wheel stunt. (born to moderate it baby)

how bout it bubba?

I'd just keep it simple, very basic. Autocross, road racing, etc, etc.

then have a separate forum for those guys who drive their car straight (aka drag racing).

I have HondaCRX as a handle cause "Driven" was taken... which i'm normally listed under most forums.

I may be way off base here.... but I read in one of the industry mags (this was easily 6 or 7 years ago before "drifting" was the whored out trend it has become here in the states) that drifting started out as a straightaway race back and forth with a 180 degree turn at each end. Several cars would be racing at the same time. Races were held on empty city streets or some crap. I don't remember precisely but I'd really like to find the article... because it was the first time I'd heard of such a thing. And as I said, this was LONG before drifting exploded here in the states as the "art" form it is today.
