Has anyone put in cabin micro-filters in an 89-94 hatchback? Would it be worth it? My vents blow crap in my eyes and it really burns sometimes (just when it happens). Would the micro-filter even solve that problem?

Also, why won't the vent-fans work on setting 4? It just works on settings 1, 2, and 3, but when you put it on 4, it stops completely.

what kind of crap does it blow in your eyes? also, have you replaced the filter in the vent system ever (if there is one)?

yeah there should be a "filament" filter, you could ask jiffy lube to replace it or something. (wait let me check the fsm)

I checked and the intake appears to be somewhere on the passenger side, but i cant tell where its pulling from. Maybe from inside the door or the upper hood area.

As for the #4 position, thats a wiring issue. Take off the a/c control face and jiggle the wires that come out of it. If it comes on and goes off we have the problem. If not i guess that its the connection at the blower motor (behind the glove compartment).If neither of these work, you may have to replace the fan switch its self, which can be removed from the a/c control unit and replaced easily using a flat blade screwdriver.

It blows chunks, i think it's some kind of foam or some crap that it only blows out when you first turn it on. I'm going to download the FSM and see about how all of this works.

2BN_S13, that last question is odd because #4 fan speed doesn't work on my 240, on my parent's Pathfinder and a random Maxima.
