I'm doing all the suspension and brake work on my 240 this winter and the first thing I've came to is the tension rods since one of my brackets was bent and both the original bushings are oozing all sorts of nice looking stuff. I've looked at just replacing the bushings in the OEM rods and also at SPL/Battle Version pillow ball style ones. The price difference is fairly steep. I've heard they make the ride a lot stiffer than the bushing style. Other than the adjustability and stiffer ride, is there much difference performance wise between the two?

This car isn't a full on daily car but it's my summer fun car with track time every or every other weekend, so things like ride comfort don't really matter to me.

Definitely pillow ball joint. You will love it when you brake and handle. Trust me on this one.

Pillow ball, for the win. If not just for the adjustability, definitely for stiffness.

So a bigger difference then I thought? Well I guess since I'm already planning on Stance coils, Johnnie Fraz Tension arm brace, and the rest of the going on 20 year old suspension, I might as well go big and make the ride even stiffer.
