Yeah, a tough time for her family, especially her mother who has now outlived her. I'm pretty sure some Star Wars will find it's way into my player at home soon.

She was a cultural icon. As baby boomers and the last few members of Reagan's generation (Nancy passed away this year) enter their final years, we're going to lose a lot of influential people.

Her mom, Debbie Reynolds, has also just died ... a stroke is the likely cause.

My condolences to the family ... two losses in two days.

Perhaps more depressing is that their replacements include Kanye West and Miley Cyrus.

Just heard about Reynolds too. Very sad. I agree with Jesda. The combo of greatest gen and us baby boomers getting older means 2016 was not an exception for many famous deaths. Though I admit I had to chuckle when I saw a recent meme with a picture of Jane Fonda and the blurb "2016 missed one."

Yeah, double whammy. Tough season for that family. I know how they feel, to loose a family member during the holidays.
