I had to adjust my rear sway bar today. I noticed I had the mounting brackets reversed from each other which made one side really strong during a corner while turning the opposite direction wasn't quite as good. Let me tell you that
Hellwig instructions are some of the worst I have ever read, desks from Walmart have better instructions. For example, they don't tell you which side is up when it comes to the bar. They also don't tell you if you should have the links in front of, or behind, the frame u-bolts.Well after some thought I took the bar down, greased it again and reinstalled it, this time with both frame brackets set as mirror images of each other. The bar doesn't kick in as hard as before but the ride is still quite nice. I do get a little rear end shake when I hit bumps because the bar effects both ends of the axle, it's more pronounced but still not a deal killer, just don't hit big bumps. Hellwig also doesn't tell you what grease to use, I used a white lithium grease. I read online not to use a petroleum based grease as it will eat the bushings. I plan on greasing the front bar later this week.

*Replaced the axle u-bolt nuts with lock nuts- Hellwig says to double the non-locking nuts but I said 'screw it' and went with locking nuts, it turned out looking nice.
Here's some pics from today. The truck is covered with bugs and dirt, haven't had time to wash it this week. Soon though.
