Just purchased a 2012 M56 and dealer is trying to sell me an application of Maxxgard at an outrageous price of $999. Anyone have any experience with this product?

Here's some discussion on it (http://forums.woodalls.com/index.cfm/fu ... 255679.cfm ), but the bottom line is you can get a lot of detailing done for a grand.

Congrats on an AMAZING car - welcome aboard!

Wow, beast car.

Welcome to Nico!

I agree with Hitman, you can get some great detailing done for less than a grand.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My car is still at the dealer. I ordered a 2011 M56, but by the time the dealer placed the order, the factory had stopped taking 2011 orders, so they placed an order for a 2012. Then they tried to renegotiate a $1600 price increase, but I wouldn't go for it and started to walk out, so they gave in and gave it to me for the 2011 negotiated price. But we are now having a tsunami watch here in Hawaii, and the dealer may be in the flood zone. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow. Woe is me!
Hope to pick up a dry car tomorrow.

Sumotori,

I am in Japan right now and northern Japan got ripped by the earthquake and ensuing tsunami. You be careful down there. Get to high ground if you can, cause if that tsunami picks up any speed/power on its way there, you're all gonna be in a world of hurt.
