Maximum rubber for Sportmax 962 on a s13?

I had to ask the "what fit" question but I am completely clueless when it comes to picking wheel/tire combos. Sportmax 962 has always caught my eyes so I picked up a set from ebay. I'm just not sure how much clearence I have to play with on an s13. From what I read I already know I need 10mm spacers to clear my coilovers.

would 225/45/17 in the front and 235/45/17 in the rear be to much?

You need to post more info. Wheels don't all come in one size.

How about SportMax 962, 17x9, 35 offset, on the rear of an s13 with stock suspention with rolled fenders. Whats the max rubber width, with what spacer if nessassary?
