I just got a 2012 Altima Coupe 3.5 SR in super black and am absolutely in love with it. The silent but deadly approach to how the engine sounds is cool while the general handling is very nice. With that being said, I definitely want to make some modifications on the car to maximize the horsepower. The car is completely stock with 36,000 miles on it. I feel like the K&N 69 Series Typhoon CAI is an essential, but what else would legitimately give it a boost? Any suggestions?

Welcome to join us bud!
First is your A/C stick shift or just regular CVT?
If it is stick shift, you can install a turbo kit in it to get the maximum boost.

Y-pipe is a must on the 3.5, I would start with that then a full exhaust system.

Did anyone have any issue with having a shop install the y-pipe, since it deletes one of the catalytic converters?

Y-pipe. I did notice a little increase in acceleration but must of all, LOVED the sound!

I first had the ypipe put on my stock exhaust and it sounded good, not loud at all but under hard acceleration you could hear it nicely. Then put on a Nismo exhaust and it was great sounding. Sounded just like a G35 to be honest.
