^^^+1 I would love to have one right now..Rex wrote:I wanted one of those wagons (used) when I was looking for my first "grown-up" car in the early 90's. Still wish they offered the Max in a wagon in later generations.

UGH...I despise the loud, oddly-pitched beep the LS uses to alert the driver of various things. It's REALLY REALLY loud for one thing, but it also has a pitch that makes me think of MU/TH/UR, not modern piece of technology or a luxury car. It sounds whenever you use any function associated with the dot-matrix info display (almost identical to the one in G50 Qs, even in the same spot as later G50s). The beep genuinely makes me angry. It'll long-beep to tell me my washer fluid is low. I try to mash the Reset button to shut it up, but the car's an irritable bastard and makes you wait for the warning beep to stop before it'll accept button inputs. So I generally end up furiously wailing on Reset and screaming SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP I TURNED THE COOLING UNITS BACK ON! until the car finds its brain and listens.Jesda wrote:I'll take bitchin' betty over the soft, boring "BONG BONG BONG" sound of GM cars. You can hear Clarkson complaining about it in his CTS-V review. I need to find a way to disable it. With my Mustang, I was able to rip out the electronic chime. I think if I removed anything in the Seville I'd throw 100 codes.
I really liked the dingy bell that my Sentra had. I think it was a real electric bell.
