will a transmission from a 94 maxima directly fit a 90 maxima? (automatics)

Shouldn't be a problem as they are both the same motor and the same transmission.

Please make sure that the 1994 Maxima transmission you are buying is coming from a Maxima with the VG30E in it (single overhead cam engine). The VE30DE automatic transmission that came available on 1992-1994 Maxima SEs will not bolt up to your VG30E engine.
