ADDCO Rear Sway Bar InstallationSubmitted by Sage CowsertRequired Tools: • Floor jack and Jack Stands or Wheel ramps • 10mm and a 14mm Deep socket • Dishsoap or K.Y. Jelly • Rubber mallet Install: 1. Jack up the rear of the car, or put up rear of car on Wheel ramps. You can do it flat on the ground but space is very limited.2. Place Bushings onto the bar. Dishsoap or K.Y. Jelly will ease the install. Do not use Petroleum Jelly. As it may harm the bushings. You want the first (2) bushings as close to the 90? bends as possible. Getting them around those bends can be tricky. I suggest a rubber mallet and tap them around the corner. Place the other (2) bushings 3/4" from the end of the bar. Now wash those slimy hands . 3. Remove the 10mm emergence brake bolt. Each side of car. 4. Position the bar underneath the car. The "U" bracket goes around the bushing then on the other side place the flat bracket and last the "U" bolt goes around the rear axle. Tighten these hand tight for now. 5. Ok now go under the rear drivers side and swing the bar up to mount it to the Trailing arms. Same as for the axle. "U" bracket then sandwich the Bushing with a plate then the trailing arm, then the "]" bolt. again hand tight. 6. Ok now to the passenger side. Install is the same as step #5 only your exhaust gets in the way. The exhaust is mounted on rubber hangers so you can push it out of your way. (I hope its cooled down by now). 7. Once the bar is mounted hand tighten all bolts. Check your end bushings there should be ~3/4" of the end of bar exposed. 8. Verify that everything looks OK. (No pinched break lines?). 9. Now tighten up the 14mm bolts don't be shy they will bend around your axle and your swing arms. Thats ok. 10. Put your 10mm Emergency brake bolts back in. 11. Lower your car back down. 12. Take your car for a spin. Notice how planet it is. 13. Enjoy the ride.
