I have a 96 maxima and it has some problems that no one seems to be able to fix. As you are driving at low to mid speeds (<55) the cars seems to jerk every so often. It does it even worse when stopped at a light and the car is in gear. But if you put it in neutral, its as smooth as a sewing machine. And when on the highway at speeds of 70+, it is also smooth. Does anyone have a clue what this is? Thanks.

Welcome to NICO!

Is your CEL on? If so, stop in to your local Advance Auto Parts and have them read it. If not, you may need to find a mechanic with a Nissan Consult to read the ECU while driving to see what's up.

Sounds like a MAF issue.

Get a multimeter and check the resistance of the MAF
