so my 00 maxima has had this issue for awhile - not really an issue buy a PIA to say the least and i know sooner or later something is gonna go so ive just started looking into the issue on this to try and figure it out.

All the windows go up and down rather slow. with the front driver and passenger side windows they end up pulling the rubber seals down while squeaking. i have to put the windows down then up an inch to make the rubber seals pop back up.

wondering where to start on this since its all the windows - are all the motors going at the same time? or is it something strange like my battery or alt dying?any help would be great thnx.

Were the windows ever tinted? I'm wondering if maybe there's some residual adhesive from the tint that's catching on the seals.

Try using RainX on both sides of one window to see if it works better. Should make the glass slick.

You can pull the doors apart, sand the contacts on the motor with super high grit sandpaper (at least 400 if not like 800 or 1000) then clean all the stuff with alcohol. This will greatly increase the conduction within the motor and make it much stronger. The motors eventually get carbon buildup on the contacts from repeated use. I had to do this on my G and it took about 1 hour for each side. The motors work as good as when teh car was brand new.

with the door panel off - the window runs fine. it seems that the inside rubber piece and the door panel dont fit tight causing the rubber to bend inside, go slow and squeak as the window rolls down - i tested this on the front and rear windows. if i apply pressure to the door panel while the windows are going down - it goes down ok. i dont see how you could tighten the door panels anymore - any ideas?

take all door panels off? I have the same problem but more so on the passenger side. I have an 00' as well. Mine the top of the glass slides back when the motor starts. I think it is just the way it is on the track. Not sure.

its something with the door panel / rubber molding on the inside. with the door panel off everything is fine. with the door panel on it has the problem. the upper part of my door panel ''shimmys'' when im rolling the windows down which pulls in the rubber part and slows and squeaks. If i apply pressure to the upper part of the door panel while putting the window down - it does ok.

the fix would be to make the door panel fit tighter to the door frame --- but i dont see how you would do it other then with liquid nails or something. any ideas?
